Dr. Cathrin Rohleder

Dr. Cathrin Rohleder is a neurobiologist conducting psychiatric research since 2006. She received her prestigious PhD' summa cum laude' in 2012 at the University of Cologne. Hereafter, she became the Head of Laboratory at the Excellence Center on Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Research, Central Institute of Mental Health, Mannheim (CIMH). She maintained a collaborative research role at the University of Cologne to continue her positron emission tomography (PET) studies. Subsequently, she managed the research conducted by the Youth Mental Health team at the Brain and Mind Centre at the University of Sydney alongside her collaborative research role at CIMH. 

 

Dr. Rohleder is an expert in preparing, conducting, and managing clinical trials, of which she has successfully co-led five in the last eight years. In addition, she coordinated the planning and implementation of five further clinical studies. Since then, she has been involved in the development of a highly personalised and measurement-based model of care. Acknowledging her work, she received the “Research Team Award for Impactful Mental Health Research” from the Society of Mental Health, Australia.  

 

To date, she continues to build on over a decade of experience in spearheading research into cannabinoids and the endocannabinoid system in order to revolutionize the way we view, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions. In pursuit of this goal, she co-founded Endosane in 2021. Being part of the leadership team at Endosane as our scientific director, she oversees the clinical trials program into the compounds under investigation and leads the related scientific projects.
